Meet The Team

As a small, independent family business we rely heavily on a small team, mostly but not exclusively, family members. We could not manage without each individual’s very individual (forgive the pun) contribution and we are very grateful for what they bring to the whole.
Don (aka The Headmaster) cracks the whip in the store, and on all the show stands. He is in charge of merchandising so it is his fault if the stock keeps moving around to accommodate the new products the rest of us just had to have. He would also like an eighth day in the week that no one else has, just so he could actually get some layouts finished.

Val develops most of our workshops, and is the queen of all things vintage and shabby chic. Val’s addiction to all things inky has kept Don in a state of constant penury for the past 20 years and shows no signs of abating. She can be found most days behind the demo desk creating samples for both our store and website, new workshop projects and trying out any new products that come our way.

Janet (aka Twinkle) came along to the very first class Val taught in Wiltshire and never really left. She loves everything dainty and sparkly, and is our parchment princess. She designs and teaches our parchment classes, and is also a skilled stamper!

Lyndz (aka Tantrumella) will tell you she doesn’t do any of this (she fibs!). She is the till diva, found behind it most weekends, and at all the shows - if only because the rest of us can’t keep up, and are relegated to doing the demos and packing bags. In the words of her younger brother - she’s scary!

We’re not quite sure where Sandra came in, but none of us can remember her not being around, and we don’t want to begin to imagine things without her. She uses her ‘Nanny’ skills to keep Lyndz and Ross (more of him later!) in check, is terribly organised and always remembers all the things the rest of us forgot. Sandra looks after the workshop during daytime Tabletime sessions on Thursdays, and is ever ready with a helping hand.

Ross  (one of Lyndz’s brothers) is about to discover there is no such thing as a free lunch, or anything else, having just volunteered his services. He is our newest recruit and has just experienced the reality of how much hard work goes in to exhibiting at shows following his trip to SECC Glasgow!
